PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This 105,000 square foot Rehabilitation/Modernization project consisted of (100) apartment units, (1) administration building and (1) Learning Center. The project was spread out over an 11 acre site, with 8 separate cul-de-sacs. A total of (36) individual wood framed, single story apartment buildings with CMU demising walls, had a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom floor plans. (5) units required additional structural modifications and rehab work to convert the interior and exterior to fully accessible (ADA) units. The rehabilitation project included a complete demolition effort to remove all existing finishes on interior and exteriors of all buildings. Complete new underground plumbing and electrical services were installed, all new underground infrastructure connections to the City of Henderson’s right of way, removal of all existing landscaping and a complete new landscape, planting and irrigation install. The interior rehabilitation included a complete new electrical, mechanical and plumbing distributions system, drywall/paint finishes, new cabinets, flooring and appliances. This project was regulated by HUD and included certified Davis-Bacon wage requirements. B & H Construction, Inc. self-performed all of the Framing, 488,000 sf of Drywall and Painting activities.
