PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This 44,800 square foot Occupied – Rehabilitation/Modernization project consisted of (56) apartment units, and (1) laundry/maintenance building. A total of (14) individual modular, two story apartment buildings with a mix of one and two bedroom floor plans. (3) units required complete Accessible Modifications to interior and exterior for full (ADA) compliance. The rehabilitation project includes a complete demolition effort to remove all existing finishes of all buildings. New electrical wiring as needed and HVAC, Plumbing and finish systems are being installed. All buildings required new roofing, windows, doors, exterior painting and new steel stairs with railings. Common area and site upgrades included a new enclosed basketball court and picnic area, new trash enclosures and accessible modifications for public access as required. The modernization incorporated Energy Star compliant/certified construction. The project was funded with Low Income Housing Tax Credits. B & H Construction, Inc. self-performed all demo, rough and finish carpentry, drywall, painting and cabinetry work.
