PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This 20,000 square foot Occupied – Rehabilitation/Modernization project consisted of (24) apartment units, and (1) Activity Building. A total of (6) individual modular, two story apartment buildings with a mix of one and two bedroom floor plans. (2) units required complete Accessible Modifications to interior and exterior for full (ADA) compliance. The rehabilitation project includes a complete demolition effort to remove all existing finishes of all buildings. New electrical wiring as needed and HVAC, Plumbing and finish systems are being installed. Also included in this rehabilitation was a full gut and remodel of an existing CMU shell building. Full interior and exterior remodel including new MPE systems, aluminum storefront windows and doors, exterior siding and new roofing. The project also included a new landscape, planting and irrigation install at the community building and new common area concrete for accessibility to public spaces including community garden, horseshoe pit, patio BBQ and laundry facilities. The modernization incorporated Energy Star compliant/certified construction as well. This LIHTC project is regulated by the USDA and NRHA. B & H Construction, Inc. self-performed all demo, rough and finish carpentry, drywall, painting and cabinetry work.
