About B&H Construction

Located in Henderson, Nevada is a Nevada Corporation owned and operated by Nick Hoffman and Michael Wichmann. B&H Construction, Inc. offers commercial general contracting services from competitive bid/build, design-build, and cost-plus construction management services. Since the firm’s inception in 1992, B&H Construction, Inc. has earned a reputation as a General Contractor that delivers quality and reliability, with extensive experience, to every project. Since the completion of B&H Construction’s very first project in Las Vegas, we have continued to emphasize our commitment to building solid relationships through uncompromising customer service and satisfaction. Our continuous relationships with repeat customers, is what we believe sets us apart from other Contractors. Our continued efforts have allowed us to develop a long list of satisfied and repeat clients.

B&H Construction, Inc. is licensed as a General Contractor in the state of Nevada, with an unlimited B license classification. BHC also holds a Class C-3 Carpentry and a Class C-2 Electrical. Assured Partners Group carries our General Liability Insurance of $1M/$2M and $5M Umbrella Limit policies. B&H Construction, Inc. enlists the Hartford Group for our bonding needs and has limits currently as high as $35 million per job and $60 million in aggregate amounts. Higher limits are available on negotiable contracts on an as needed basis.

B&H Construction, Inc. has combined a multitude of experience within our company with well over 100 years of combined experience to allow us to professionally manage and construct any type of project. Our staff also includes leadership in Energy Star and Sustainable construction applications. B&H Construction, Inc. brings a broad quality control minded approach to the industry, to meet any Owner’s needs.

Ray Hoffman, original founder and former President of B&H always took a proactive approach in the management of all B&H Construction’s work. Ray instilled those fundamental values of hard work and ethics in contracting to all of his staff, all of whom remain Key and Integral to the continued success of B&H Construction, Inc.

EXPERIENCE

Ray has over 30 years experience in the industry, and began his construction career in Colorado, working as a concrete and framing carpenter. He then moved on to become a Superintendent on numerous structural and architectural projects in Colorado and Arizona before making Nevada his permanent home. In 1992, Ray formed his own construction company with Don Blanchard and settled in Boulder City, Nevada, where he’s been for over 30+ years, building strong ties to the community and a vested interest in all of its activities. In 2003, Ray obtained sole ownership of all stock in B&H Construction Inc., and is currently President and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

EXPERIENCE

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (Dean’s List Spring 1998) from the UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, LAS VEGAS, Michael started working with a local GC and Developer who built commercial, single family and multi-family developments all over town. Starting with framing and then superintendent duties on light commercial work while attending UNLV, he was promoted to Assistant Project Manager, then gradually over the course of a few years, became a Project Manager with them until they closed their doors in 2004, at which point he joined staff at B&H Construction Inc. and has been with them since.

Being OSHA Certified as well as proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Primavera, and Expedition enables Michael to manage daily operations for multiple projects including budgets, schedules, subcontractors, work scopes, contracts, permits and bond releases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide quality control to ensure the highest level of workmanship is being provided.
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals, write contracts and work scopes.
